Tashkarugs is an idea born from meetings and friendships forged between a mountain guide and Amazigh weavers from the regions I have traveled throughout a 30-year career. An extraordinary collaboration with the weavers of the Siroua massif and the Zat valley. Two years during which we prepared and worked on an original, authentic and modern idea, to make extraordinary rugs. The project that I am proposing goes beyond the production and marketing of carpets, it is an initiative whose aim is to combine the arts of painting and photography, with the traditional weaving of Berber carpets. Another way to show the true value of the artisanal work of Amazigh women and show that women go beyond weaving, that they are real artists who deserve to be noticed by the world.
